Bicycle cover? Find the right size

CoverHero Guiden

Do you know it? You've found the design you want - but how do you find the right size? It's exactly the same feeling you get when you have to find the right size for your new bike cover for your bike or motorcycle. But how do you find the right size for your bike cover?

It's typically quite simple to find the best size for your bike cover - in fact, it's almost so simple to find the size of the bike garage you need that you think something is missing.

If you also want to know which factors other than size are important, we recommend reading our comprehensive guide: Bicycle cover – what should you choose?

Find your bike size!

You need to find the size of your bike or motorcycle - the 2 most important measurements are the length (A) and the width - typically the handlebar width (B), as these are the 2 most important measurements you need when finding the size of your bike cover. Most bike covers are typically sewn according to the length and width, but you may come across bike garages that are custom-made, where it is then necessary to take into account the height (C) at the handlebars as well as both the width (D) and the height (E) at the rear. This is typical when you have looked at a custom-made bike cover and have a basket or top box on the luggage carrier.

Then, take a tape measure or a ruler and find (A) and (B). The measurement you find doesn't have to be exact to the nearest millimeter or centimeter - it's approximate.

What about the mirror?

If you have a mirror or other equipment that sticks out or up - then you need to measure it when you find the width or height of your bike and bike cover. The more things that have different directions, the tighter your bike cover will be when it is mounted - read here how to mount your bike garage - which is why we recommend that you choose to include your equipment in your overall measurement.

What if I have a basket on the front or back of my bike?

If you have a basket mounted on your bike / electric bike, you should keep your tongue a little straight in your mouth, as some bike garages for regular bikes are form-fitting - then you should choose a large bike garage such as Bikeparka XL Bike Cover , VK E-Bike bike cover or VK Re-Cover bike garage , as these bike covers are universal and quite large in design.

Top box on the motorcycle?

Just like on a traditional bicycle, you also need to take into account your top box on your motorcycle or scooter - here it is important that you - in addition to measuring the length (A) and width (B), also measure the width (D) and the height at the rear (E), and find a motorcycle cover with space for a top box or top case - we have collected our motorcycle garages with space for a top box here .
